How does it Work? (DOG/CAT)

🧬 How the Genetic Testing Order Works

Ordering your test is simple – just follow a few easy steps, and your results will be conveniently available online.

1️⃣ Sample Collection

Blood or Swabs:
A veterinarian collects 2–3 ml of blood into an EDTA tube, or you can collect the samples yourself using two buccal swabs per dog or cat. – perform sampling

Isolation:
Before sampling, please separate the animal from others for at least one hour to avoid contamination.

Free swabs:
We will be happy to send you collection swabs free of charge – simply request them directly from your account in our database.

2️⃣ Veterinary Confirmation

If the sample is collected by a veterinarian, they must confirm the sampling on the F67_V2_Confirmation_ origin_biological material or on a printed online order.
Required details: veterinarian’s name, KVL number, stamp, and signature.

If the collection is not confirmed by a veterinarian, the report will state:
“Identity not verified.”

The identity of the animal can also be confirmed using a separate F66 form.

3️⃣ Labeling and Drying the Samples

  • Each swab package must be clearly labeled with the animal’s name or microchip number.
  • Allow the swabs to dry at room temperature, then place them back into their original packaging.
🚫 Do not place swabs into plastic tubes or plastic bags.

4️⃣ Creating an Order

You can choose between two options:

🖥️ Online order – the fastest and most convenient method (Instructions on how to create an order with pictures)
📄 Paper form – if you prefer the traditional approach –  order form F18

For an online order:

  1. Log in to your account (or register if you don’t have one).
  2. In the My Orders section, click Create Order.
  3. Fill in sample details – name, microchip, breed, date of birth, date of collection, veterinarian information, etc. You can also enter a different owner’s name or select an existing sample.
  4. Choose the analyses or test packages and add them to your cart.
  5. If you have multiple animals, add more samples using the “Add another sample” button at the bottom left.
  6. Select payment method (bank transfer / PayPal) and delivery method (electronically or by post).
  7. Review the order and click Submit Order.

If you don’t submit the order, it will remain in your account as a draft. You can return to it later to complete or delete it.
Unsubmitted orders are visible only to you – the laboratory cannot access them.

5️⃣ Sending the Samples

Send your samples together with the online order number or the paper form to our laboratory address.

6️⃣ Processing and Results

  1. You’ll receive an email notification once the samples arrive at the laboratory.
  2. The analysis will then begin.
